Why it matters
Why an SME should care
IRAS is phasing GST-registered businesses onto InvoiceNow, so for many SMEs this stops being optional. Newly incorporated companies that registered voluntarily for GST have been in scope since November 2025, every new voluntary registrant since April 2026, and existing GST-registered businesses are expected to follow in announced waves.
The practical consequence sits in one decision: your accounting software. A product with a built-in Peppol access point makes InvoiceNow a settings change. A product without one means a migration later, on IRAS's timetable rather than yours.
